Vijay Khanna (Ram Charan Teja) is aggressive and honest police officer gets constantly transferred due to nervy ways of amending the hoodlums. In his 5 years of service Vijay gets 22 transfers record. He takes the charge in Mumbai and starts investigating a murder mystery of Collector. In this process of solving the murder case he meets up with Mala (Priyanka Chopra) main witness in murder case and Sherkhan (Srihari) an illegal dealer. As Mala refuses to help Vijay in this case Vijay assures her safety and shelter Mala. Impressed with Mala, Vijay unknowingly falls in love with her.
Songs with the manner in which they have been integrated into the tale, simply should not be there.
The Telugu lyrics don’t sync well with the Hindi tunes. There is the script too that is a depressant, and it has very few heart pumping moments.
Especially the meow scenes between Mahie and Prakash Raj are horrible. The film is relatively short and has a running time of just more than two hours, and a further twenty minutes could easily be trimmed out, that could have made it much crisper. Director should have taken extra care on music of this film; even background score of the film is very loud.

Detail Analysis:
If it is a Shahrukh Khan release then excitement soars to new heights no matter what is the genre or what is the occasion. But after not so great spell in last few years at domestic box office, he teams up with director Rohit Shetty who has mastered box office, this excitement goes through the roof. On top of that Deepika Padukone adds brownie point after super successful YJHD.
Film has rather simple but interesting plot (and we will not reveal much as always been the case). Rahul (Shahrukh) goes on to a journey of his lifetime where he meets Meena (Deepika) and how his meeting with her changes his life completely. Tangaballi (Nikitin Dheer) who is good friend of Durgeshwara (Sathyaraj) puts forth every possible hurdle. But all the fun, song and dance make this journey an experience full of entertainment or we say dhamaal!
Performance wise Shahrukh Khan excels and excels big time. His comic timing and aura simply lift the film to another level. If this is not his best comic performance then certainly one of the best. He is back as hero for masses and how! The way Shahrukh takes you as fun narrator through the film is hilarious in itself! Deepika surprises in every frame and she is real surprise package of the film. Her accent and comic timing are top notch. This is her 2nd big performance in 2013 after YJHD. Nikitin Dheer makes a mark with intense performance and so is veteran south actor Sathyaraj. Mukesh Tiwari and Kamini Kaushal fit the bill in brief roles. Also be ready for few surprising supporting performances and cameos.
Music was not plus point before release but be assured that after watching it you will bound to change your opinion. Title song and "Titli" look best and positioned well. Vishal - Shekhar deserve all kudos for their work. Action always been a high point of Rohit SHetty cinema and he doesn't disappoint you this time either. Watch out for post interval portion, two mind blowing sequences. Editing is one thing which keeps film so breezy that you hardly blink before its over. Cinematography is decent but not so overwhelming location leave you wanting for more.
But it is director Rohit Shett who keeps proceedings racy and his command over providing the right mix of entertainment makes this special. There is a song followed by super dialogue and then some nail biting action - take a bow masala king! This will be by far the best work of Rohit Shetty.
Overall this is a film which belongs to distinct and lethal combo of Rohit Shetty and SRK. 1st half is very comic an light hearted and at interval point when SRK - Deepika elope from Deepika's house, the fun begins. This is a complete entertainer and surely win the heart of masses. But film's success will be decided by how well classes take it and how much film sustains on weekdays.

Sona(Shruthi Haasan), the only sister ofRaghu(Sonu Sood) is the heart of her brothers life. After the demise of Sona’sparents, Raghu takes up the responsibility of bringing up his only sister. He loves his sister to death and can do anything for her happiness.
One day Sona leaves her village to attend her best friend, Ria’s wedding in the city. There she meets Ria’s cousin Ram(Girish Kumar) a rich NRI from Australia. As time passes, closeness between Ram and Sona develops and the couple fall for each other.
When Ram’s mother comes to know her sons affair, she insults Sona and her brother badly and kicks them out of the wedding. A depressed Sona and angry Raghu return to their village. Realizing his true love for Sona, Ram also reachesthe village and begs Raghu for Sona’s hand.
An angry Raghu throws an open challenge to Ram and lays a condition that if he wins it, he would give away Sona’s hand to him. What is the challenge? Does Ram accept Raghu’s conditions and fight for his love. That forms the rest of the story.

STORY:-
A routine tale the story begins with Bad Boy (karthi) who comes to a village to meet his cousin (santhanam) and his sisters (nikita, sanusha, akanksha). Here, Karthi gets into a tussle with the local baddies and the fight doesn’t stop there. Two more groups led by two other baddies (milind soman, suman) come in search for Bad Boy Karthi. There is news that Karthi has actually kidnapped the CM’s daughter (anushka). What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
PERFORMANCE:-
Karthi looked good and he has put in loads of energy for the mass entertainer. His efforts in doing the risky stunts in the early half was worth mentioning. However, his work has gone in vain due to the uninteresting screenplay. Anushka looked gorgeous and she has got a limited role restricted to songs most of the time. She is hardly seen in the first half. Santhanam is the saving grace for the film. Karthi-Santhanam’s scenes have worked well in the first half.
TECHNICAL:-
Saravanan’s cinematography is classy and top-class, Devi Sri Prasad’s songs are good while the background score is loud at times. Editing is inconsistent and patchy, Suraj’s direction is just okay while the screenplay is illogical and predictable, dialogues are double meaning ones.

‘Pizza’ is a very successful Tamil thriller which has now been dubbed into Telugu. The film is releasing this Friday in theaters and we have been to an exclusive premiere show in Prasad Labs. Karthik Subbaraj directed this thriller which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in lead roles. Let us take a look and see if this Pizza is worth having.
Story :
Michael a.k.a. Mike (Vijay Sethupathi) is a pizza delivery boy who lives a quite normal life along with his girlfriend Anu (Remya Nambeesan). Anu is a wannabe novelist who is deeply interested in paranormal phenomena, ghosts and other such stuff. The couple have a live-in relationship and things get complicated once Anu gets pregnant.
As a confused and scared Michael grapples with the news of this pregnancy, he comes face to face with his Boss’s daughter who seems to be possessed by an evil spirit named Nithya. A thoroughly frightened and disturbed Michael goes out to deliver a Pizza, without realising that his life is about to take a very ugly turn.
Strange and scary things keep happening in the bungalow that Michael goes to. What does Michael encounter there? How does he confront his issues? That forms the story of ‘Pizza’.

‘Pizza’ is one of the finest Indian thrillers I have seen in recent times. The screenplay never loses tempo and the sustained sense of suspense will keep you on the edge of your seats. Vijay Sethupathi has excelled in the role of Michael. His performance as a scared and shell shocked pizza boy is very realistic. Remya Nambeesan looks ok.
The film’s biggest assets are sound effects, cinematography and a very clever screenplay. Director Karthik Subbaraj needs to be applauded for coming up with a superb effort for a first film.
The scenes in the ‘Smitha Bungalow’ are spine chillingly effective and they are some of the scariest you will ever encounter among Indian films. For about 30 minutes prior to the interval and 20 minutes after that, the film can rival some of the best horror thrillers out there.
The second half is the life and soul of this film and the climax sequence has been executed brilliantly well. Viewers will try their best to predict the outcome after the first shocking twist hits home, but virtually no one will see the second twist coming.
The sound effects and the pulsating background score need to be experienced in a proper theater with good sound. Only then will you be able to appreciate the fine work that Santosh Narayan has come up with.
Minus Points :
Remya Nambeesan’s make up and look should have been better. Perhaps, the director intentionally went in for a look devoid of glamour but Telugu viewers will not like that.
While the background score of the film is terrific, the songs are a big letdown.
The film may not appeal to viewers who seek casual entertainment as there will be nothing in this film for them. Commercial elements like comedy, masala moments etc etc are nonexistent and this may limit its Box Office appeal.
As with all dubbed films, this movie also suffers from Tamil nativity and lack of familiar faces.
Technical Aspects :
Gopi Amarnath’s brilliant cinematography is a major asset for the film. His camerawork inside the haunted building is what really brings this film alive. Editing is almost flawless. Dialogues are ok and do their job.
Karthik Subbaraj scores full marks as a director for coming up with a very fine effort on his debut film.
Verdict :
It is tough to slot ‘Pizza’ into a genre. Is it a romantic thriller? Is it a horror thriller? A thriller it most definitely is and a very fine one at that. Go watch ‘Pizza’ this Friday if you want to catch a film that is impressive, genuinely intelligent and scary at the same time.
