Kamal Haasan has finally reached an amicable agreement with Muslim groups over the screening of movie ‘Vishwaroopam’ in Tamil Nadu. Kamal has agreed to delete 7 objectionable scenes and to mute the Quran verses from the film.
The settlement was reached after a 5-hour meeting between Kamal Haasan’s camp and Muslim groups in the presence of Home Secretary R Rajagopal IAS at the Secretariat in Chennai.
The edited movie will be released in Tamil Nadu, after receiving the approval from Censor Board again. The matter will come up for hearing on February 6. “I had a discussion with my Muslim brothers. They told me which are the scenes that would offend and could be removed. I have agreed to delete few objectional sequences”, said the actor, while addressing the media.
