Chennai Express which is supposed to release on 8th august will now release on 9th August, decision is made after a Big Meeting held between Red Chillies, UTV and Exhibitors.
Main reason for postponment is makers dont want the first day to be in Ramadan Period as many muslim fans in India cannot watch the film on 8th Aug. So, now 9th August will be Eid day so every one can comfortably watch the film on First day.
So Now, 9th August - Eid, 10th August - Saturday/Holiday in Muslim Dominated areas, 11th August - Sunday. First 3 Days weekend will be BIGGEST EVER IN INDIAN CINEMA. 75cr first weekend is on Cards.
